Construction on Hall completed. Becomes the 1st site for the
Hiroshima Prefecture Promotion Fair held starting the same day to May

A-bomb explodes almost directly
above the hall, creating extensive damage and fires that ravage the,
building. Everyone inside was killed instantly. |

Starting at this time debate about
whether to destroy the A-bomb Dome or preserve it takes place. |

are submitted for the design competition of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Design for peace
